The blue stamp present the cosmic universe. Koheleth states that the stars, which ostensibly represent the constantly moving dynamic of reality, do not actually bring anything new. “The sun rises, and the sun sets – and glides back to where it rises”.
The green stamp presents the natural world that surrounds humankind. Koheleth opines that there is nothing new in nature either, and that the constant happenings simply repeat themselves. “All streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full; to the place from which they flow the streams flow back again”.
The third stamp presents the world of humans, in which Koheleth sees no change or newness either. He emphasizes that “one generation goes, another comes” and nothing that people do makes any difference, for “the earth remains the same forever”.
